The MGA publishes a Preliminary Market Consultation Document to request information on projects for a Unified Self-Exclusion System
The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) prioritises responsible gaming within the national gaming regulatory framework. Among its recent initiatives there is Player Protection Directive and the Alternative Dispute Resolution Directive which are aimed to protect the players.
Following the White Paper to Future Proof Malta’s Gaming Legal Framework published in July 2017, the MGA declared its intention to launch a Unified Self-Exclusion System across gambling operators. The Preliminary Market Consultation (PMC) document may be accessed via the Maltese Government’s Electronic Public Procurement System (ePPS). All submissions from the regulated industry participants are also to be sent through the ePPS. The closing date for the consultation is 31 May 2019.
